Behaviour resources
for pet professionals
Hello
I'm Dr Jen Nesbitt-Hawes
I'm a behaviour vet and (unsurprisingly) I am passionate about animal behaviour! My mission is to make behaviour knowledge easy to access for every pet professional and every pet parent—so that life with animals becomes more joyful, more connected, and a whole lot less stressful. When pets and their people truly understand each other, it changes everything—for the better.

But pet professionals are busy, and don't have the time and energy to create their own handouts and videos to make sure that people get all the information they need. That's where I come in! I create educational materials, and tailor them to your business. So you can be confident you are giving the best, up-to-date, behaviour information to your clients.

How I can help:
Veterinary Teams
I've created resources for your new puppy and kitten consultations, for your puppy schools, for your staff and for your clients. Because, whether you love dealing with behaviour or your veterinary strengths lie elsewhere, just about every client you see will have a behaviour question, every unwell patient will have a behavioural component to their presentation, and because veterinary clinics should be a trusted source of sound behavioural advice. These days, vet clinics are busier than ever, so I've done all the hard work for you - researching, writing, editing, designing and creating resources that I will tailor to your practice, to make them truly yours.
Improved behaviour advice in everyday consultations benefits everyone:
-
It strengthens trust and rapport with clients by answering their most common puppy concerns (e.g. biting and toilet training).
-
Reduces the risk of behaviour problems escalating into rehoming, relinquishment, or euthanasia.
-
Supports early intervention in welfare issues like fear and pain.
-
Makes consultations run more smoothly when pets are comfortable in the clinic from the outset.
-
Provides a more complete, whole-animal approach to care.
-
Saves time by directing clients to clear, evidence-based resources for everything from toilet training to body language.
-
Equips the whole team to feel more confident and consistent when talking about behaviour.
Pet Perspective resources give you all of this—without having to create anything from scratch. Everything is science-based, force-free, written by a behaviour vet (that's me!) and easy to share with clients.
How I can help:
Dog (and Cat!) Trainers
You've probably seen me at training conferences - with APDT, PPG, PPGA - whether I am presenting, exhibiting, or taking in the wealth of information as an attendee, I love keeping up-to-date with the latest the training world has to offer. I know how rapidly the field is evolving and that you need to ensure your client information stays relevant.

More than anyone, you know the value of building a great relationship between client and animal, through building an understanding of body language, supporting the individual learner and giving people the information they need to succeed.
I've created ready-made behaviour materials for your clients, and I can tailor the written resources to suit you and your business. Have your handouts reflect exactly how you teach - with positive-reinforcement-based, modern training techniques.
